Overview

Tend ("we", "our", or "the app") is a habit tracking application designed to help you build and maintain positive daily habits. We are committed to protecting your privacy and being transparent about how we handle your data.

The short version: Your data stays on your device and in your personal iCloud account. We don't collect, sell, or share your personal information.

Information We Collect

Data You Create

When you use Tend, you create:

  • Habit names and settings
  • Completion records
  • Reminder preferences

This data is stored locally on your device and, if you have iCloud enabled, synced to your personal iCloud account.

Data We Do NOT Collect

  • We do not collect personal information (name, email, address)
  • We do not track your location
  • We do not access your contacts, photos, or other apps
  • We do not use third-party analytics or tracking services
  • We do not collect device identifiers for advertising

How Your Data Is Stored

Local Storage

All habit data is stored locally on your device using Apple's Core Data framework. This data remains on your device unless you enable iCloud sync.

iCloud Sync

If you enable iCloud on your device, your habit data may sync across your Apple devices using your personal iCloud account. This sync is handled entirely by Apple and governed by Apple's Privacy Policy. We do not have access to your iCloud account or the data stored within it.

In-App Purchases

Tend offers optional in-app purchases processed through Apple's App Store. All payment information is handled by Apple. We do not receive, store, or have access to your payment details. For information on how Apple handles payment data, please see Apple's Privacy Policy.

Notifications

If you enable reminders, Tend uses Apple's local notification system to send you reminders. These notifications are scheduled locally on your device and do not involve any external servers or data transmission.

Third-Party Services

Tend does not integrate with third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services. We do not share your data with any third parties.

Data Retention & Deletion

Your data remains on your device until you delete it. You can delete individual habits or all data at any time through the app's Settings. If you delete the app, all locally stored data is removed from your device. Data synced to iCloud can be managed through your iCloud settings.

Children's Privacy

Tend does not knowingly collect any personal information from children under the age of 13. The app does not require account creation or the submission of any personal information.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated "Last Updated" date. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
